Basic introduction

In order to improve the environmental performance of energy consuming products and control ecological environment pollution. On october31,2009, the European Union officially issued the ecological requirements directive 2009/125/ec on energy related products, namely the ERP (energy related products) directive establishing a framework for the ecological design requirements of energy related products. It is a rewritten directive of the euphoria (energy using products) Directive (2005/32/ec), which came into force on November 10, 2009.

ERP instruction

In order to improve the EUP Directive 2005/32/ec and further expand its scope, the EU officially issued the directive 2009/125/ec on ecological requirements for energy related products on October 31, 2009, which stipulates the framework of ecological design requirements for energy related products. From November 20, 2009, ERP directive 2009 / 125 / EC replaces the original EuP Directive (2005 / 32 / EC, 2008 / 28 / EC).

The original im based on the EUP instruction will be converted to the IM of this instruction at the same time.

ERP directive product range

Like EUP, ERP directive does not apply to the means of transportation of people and goods.

In addition to the energy consuming products covered by the original EuP Directive: simple set-top boxes, televisions, external power supplies, fluorescent lamps without integral ballasts, gas discharge lamp ballasts, and lamps using such lamps and ballasts, non directional household lamps, directional lamps, LED lamps, lamps, lamp controllers (including LED drivers and electronic transformers), dimmers and sensors, motors, household refrigeration appliances and circulating pumps, It also includes other energy saving products, such as windows, insulating materials or water products (such as shower heads, faucets, etc.).

ERP instruction implementation rules

ERP instruction is not an instruction for product requirements, but a framework instruction. In accordance with the relevant provisions of this directive, the EU has further formulated the directive on the ecological design requirements that certain energy consuming products should meet, which is called "implementing measures", or IM for short. The detailed rules for implementation have been promulgated and implemented as follows:

1. The ecological design requirements for power consumption of electronic and electrical equipment to be shut down for home and office use (no 1275 / 2008) was issued in December 2008 and implemented on January 7, 2010.

2. The release date of simple set top box ecological design requirements (no 107 / 2009) is February 2009 and the implementation date is February 25, 2010.

3. The ecological design requirements for non directional household lamps (no 244 / 2009) was issued in March 2009 and implemented on September 1, 2009.

4. ecological design requirements for fluorescent lamps without integrated ballast, high intensity gas discharge lamps and their ballasts and lamps (no 245/2009) were issued in March, 2009 and implemented on April 13, 2010.

5. the ecological design requirements for external power supply (no 278/2009) was issued in april2009 and implemented on april27,2010.

6. the motor ecological design requirements (no 640/2009) was issued in july2009 and implemented on june16,2010.

7. The ecological design requirements for independent shaft seal less circulator (no 641 / 2009) was issued in August 2009 and implemented on January 1, 2010.

8. the release date of TV ecological design requirements (no 642/2009) is july2009, and the implementation date is january7,2010.

9. The ecological design requirements for household refrigeration equipment (no 643 / 2009) is issued on July 2009 and implemented on July 1, 2010.

10. Household washing machine (no 1015 / 2010) was issued in November 2010 and implemented on December 1, 2011.

11. Household dishwasher (no 1016 / 2010) was issued in November 2010 and implemented on December 1, 2011.

12. The release date of household clothes dryer (no 932 / 2012) is October 2012 and the implementation date is November 1, 2013.

13. motor driven fans (no 327/2011) with an input power range between 125 W and 500 kW were issued in april2011 and implemented on april6,2011.

14. ecological design requirements for directional lights, LED lights and related equipment (no 1194/2012) were issued in December, 2012 and implemented on September 1, 2013.
